ETSU invites Golden 50s Club members and 1976 graduates to its May 8–9 reunion featuring induction events, alumni activities, and commencement recognition.
Nearly five decades after turning their tassels, graduates of East Tennessee State University’s class of 1976 are invited back to campus to celebrate a milestone moment.
As part of the Golden 50s Reunion on May 8-9, these ETSU graduates will be officially inducted into the Golden 50s Club, joining former Golden 50s alumni for a weekend of recognition, connection, and commencement tradition hosted by President Dr. Brian Noland.
On Friday, May 8, registration at the Brinkley Center ballroom begins at 10:30 a.m. During a special reunion brunch, reunion attendees will be honored and the class of 1976 will be inducted into the Golden 50s Club. Individual and class photos will be taken at this time.
Later in the afternoon, a Golden Happy Hour will take place from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Ramsey Tower, located at William B. Greene, Jr. Stadium. Head Football Coach Will Healy will host the event and give attendees a look ahead at the upcoming season.
On Saturday, May 9, all Golden 50s Club members are invited to participate in the class of 2026 spring Commencement, where the group will be recognized. A special Golden 50s breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. at the Alumni office located at the Model Mill, 602 Sevier Street, across from Founders Park. The reunion attendees participating in these activities will don golden caps and gowns before being escorted to the ETSU Ballad Health Athletic Center (Mini-Dome) for the 10 a.m. graduation festivities.
