Forecasters are tracking possible severe weather in the coming days, and East Tennessee State University is preparing accordingly.
The university is monitoring conditions closely and coordinating across departments to maintain essential services and ensure campus readiness should severe weather arrive.
University leadership is working with Public Safety, Facilities, Housing, Dining and Information Technology to address operational needs and safety concerns.
If weather conditions require operational changes, the university will communicate promptly through official channels, including email, the ETSU website and the university’s primary social media accounts.

Men’s basketball game moved to Friday
Due to the approaching weather system, the East Tennessee State men’s basketball game versus The Citadel has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, at Freedom Hall.
Safety for fans, players and visiting teams remains the top priority.
The Glow Out promotion will continue as planned, now as a night game. The 2025 Southern Conference Baseball Championship Team will be recognized at halftime with a championship ring ceremony.
