Each spring, the Staff Senate at East Tennessee State University hosts an event to celebrate staff and honor outstanding employees. This year, Staff Senate presented seven university employees with the 2024 Distinguished Staff Awards in honor of their service and excellence.
Staff members who show a strong commitment to the ETSU community, display a positive attitude at work and go above and beyond to serve fellow staff and students can be nominated by their peers for the award. Award winners received a $2,000 check from the ETSU Foundation and an engraved recognition memento from the Staff Senate.
This year’s winners include:
Dustin Fawver, systems administrator with IT Services.
Karen Mann, office coordinator with the Office of the President.
Nancy Miller, project coordinator with the College of Public Health.
Alexis Malone, patient care specialist with Academic Support JC.
Travis Watson, arborist manager with Maintenance of Grounds.
Dreama Pullon, police officer with Public Safety.
In addition, Christopher Hicks, student account specialist with Tax and Revenue Services, received the annual Career award. Nominators praised Hicks for his dedication and hard work.
At ETSU, one of the core values is that people come first and are treated with dignity and respect.
