The fall semester will be here before you know it.

Whether you’re a new student or returning for another year at East Tennessee State University, getting a jump on a few key items can make all the difference. Here’s your quick-start guide to campus life before classes begin on Monday, Aug. 25.

Parking: Plan Ahead

If you plan to bring a car to campus, don’t wait until the last minute to secure your permit.

  • Order your 2025–26 student parking permit online now through Aug. 1.
  • Order your permit on the parking website.
  • Or pick one up in person at the Parking and Transportation office at 132 Stout Drive.
  • Bring a photo ID and your license plate number.

Class Schedules: Get the Best Fit

Class openings fill up fast. Registering early gives you more flexibility.

  • Log into GoldLink to view or register for classes.
  • Check Degree Works in GoldLink to make sure you're meeting your degree requirements.
  • Academic advisers are here to help. Find your adviser online.

Textbooks: Don’t Wait

As soon as you know your schedule, start checking into your required textbooks.

Visit the ETSU Bookstore for details and ordering options. Even if you don’t have your student ID ready, you can search by course instead.

Your ID Card = Campus Access

Your ETSU ID card does way more than show your photo.
