East Tennessee State University announced today the appointment of Howard Reddy as vice president for University Advancement and president/CEO of the ETSU Foundation. Reddy will assume his position in November, and his selection follows a comprehensive national search.

Reddy brings to ETSU a distinguished record of leadership in higher education advancement, most recently serving as vice president for University Advancement at the University of West Florida (UWF), president of the UWF Foundation and CEO of the UWF Historic Trust.
As a member of UWF’s senior leadership team and President’s Cabinet, Reddy has provided executive oversight of all advancement operations, including Development, Alumni Relations, Marketing andCommunications, Advancement Services, Public Media and more. He has managed a$20 million annual division budget and directed an $11 million student housing portfolio with associated debt service compliance.
During his tenure, UWF raised over $110 million in philanthropic support, established more than 340 new foundation funds and increased its investment pool by more than 77 percent, now exceeding $145 million.
Reddy also brings a strong academic and cultural background to his new role. He previously served as assistant vice president for University Advancement and director of Community Engagement at UWF and has held faculty positions in the Dr. Grier Williams School of Music and the Department of Theatre. A former Fulbright Scholar, he holds degrees from the Sutherland School of Law at University College Dublin and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
