On this episode of White Coat Radio, we’re joined by Brunella Martinelli De Medeiros Fiuza (’28), a student pharmacist from Brazil who chose East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy to pursue her goal of practicing pharmacy in the United States.
Fiuza shares her journey to Gatton through one of the college’s flexible admissions pathways and how she is now pursuing another goal that began in Brazil: becoming a pharmacy educator. Recently selected as one of 29 student pharmacists nationwide for the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy’s 2026–27 Aspiring Academics Program, Fiuza discusses her path to pharmacy, her passion for education and what this national opportunity means for her future.
