The prestigious Princeton Review has once again recognized East Tennessee State University as a Best College in the South.
It helps cement the university’s reputation for delivering outstanding academic quality at an affordable cost.
“This recognition reflects our unwavering dedication to providing transformative educational experiences,” said ETSU President Dr. Brian Noland. “We are proud to serve as an accessible pathway for students to achieve their dreams while celebrating the rich heritage and natural beauty of our Appalachian region.”
Students interviewed by The Princeton Review particularly praised ETSU’s focus on career preparation.
Beyond academics, students highlighted ETSU’s stunning location in the heart of Appalachia, with easy access to outdoor adventures, including camping in nearby mountains and kayaking on the Nolichucky River.
The region offers additional appeal with restaurants, breweries and live music venues.
“As the flagship university of Appalachia, ETSU offers something truly special,” said Noland. “We are not just educating students. We are helping them connect with the unique character and incredible natural beauty of this region while preparing them to make their mark on the world.”
This year, accolades have poured in for ETSU.
Over the summer, Money magazine named ETSU one of the top value universities in the country. Out of more than 2,400 four-year institutions evaluated, just 732 schools qualified for a rating.
ETSU was one of only four public universities in Tennessee to make that list.
