The ETSU National Alumni Association is launching its Summer Series, offering alumni opportunities to reconnect through events and activities across the region.
The East Tennessee State University National Alumni Association is stepping up to the plate, raising a glass and digging into discovery with its 2026 ETSU Alumni Summer Series.
The summer lineup of family-friendly activities designed to bring together ETSU alumni, friends and the region returns with three events.
“Our Summer Series continues to be one of the most meaningful ways we connect alumni back to ETSU and to one another,” said John King, associate vice president for Advancement and executive director of the ETSU National Alumni Association. “These events create opportunities for fun and engagement, while showcasing some of the incredible communities and partners that support ETSU across the region. We’re excited to welcome alumni and families of all ages this summer.”
The 2026 Summer Series will feature three events this year:
ETSU Night with the Johnson City Doughboys
Friday, June 12
TVA Credit Union Ballpark – Johnson City, Tennessee
Doors open at 6 p.m.; first pitch at 7 p.m.
Alumni and friends are invited to cheer on the Johnson City Doughboys as they take on the Kingsport Axmen. Attendees can participate in ETSU-themed activities throughout the game and pick up the limited-edition 2026 Summer Series T-shirt. Registration is required to receive the ticket discount code and T-shirt eligibility.
Alumni Happy Hour at Tennessee Hills Distillery – Bristol
Thursday, July 9
6-8 p.m.
Tennessee Hills Distillery – Bristol, Tennessee
Guests will enjoy live music, complimentary libations, light appetizers, and yard games at Tennessee Hills Distillery’s Bristol location. Attendees will also have the opportunity to pick up the limited-edition 2026 Summer Series T-shirt. Registration is required to reserve drink tickets and T-shirt eligibility.
Bucs Discover at the Gray Fossil Site
Wednesday, July 29
6-8:30 p.m.
Gray Fossil Site – Gray, Tennessee
Participants can explore the museum, enjoy refreshments and experience interactive exhibits provided in partnership with the Hands On! Discovery Center. This event offers alumni and families a unique opportunity to discover East Tennessee history and science in an engaging environment. Registration is required to reserve a limited-edition 2026 Summer Series T-shirt.
The ETSU National Alumni Association encourages alumni and community members to register early for all events.
