There’s something magical about homecoming season in Johnson City, and this year’s ETSU Fall Homecoming promises to be spectacular.
From Oct. 18-26, our beloved university campus will transform into a celebration that bridges ancient Roman grandeur with a distinctly Appalachian spirit.
The theme “All Roads Lead to ETSU” isn’t just clever wordplay.

It’s an excellent metaphor for how our university serves as a destination point for students, families and community members from across Appalachia and beyond.
Student Government Association Secretary of State Maggie Martin captured the essence beautifully when she explained her vision: “Rome encapsulated some of the essential elements of ETSU and the broader East Tennessee region – resilience, strength, and a certain pride in itself and its culture.”
Anyone who knows our mountain community understands exactly what she means.
We’ve built something enduring here, something worth celebrating. It’s a place:
- Recognized for quality, affordability and academic outcomes.
- That honors the service and sacrifice of veterans with slashed tuition and support services.
- Situated in the beautiful Appalachian region.
For our community members, Homecoming week offers the perfect opportunity to reconnect with campus life, whether you’re an alumnus returning to walk familiar paths or a local resident curious about the festivities.
The energy is infectious. Students buzz with excitement. Campus comes alive with decorations.
The nine-day celebration runs Oct. 18-26, culminating in packed game-day action when our football team battles Wofford on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 3:30 p.m.
