Who better to guide you through Appalachia’s autumn transformation than the experts who know these mountains best?

Travis Watson, ETSU’s campus arborist and biology master’s graduate, combines scientific knowledge with a deep love for our region’s diverse tree species.  

Dr. Andrew Joyner serves as Tennessee’s official state climatologist and brings his expertise as an associate professor in ETSU's Department of Geosciences.  

Together, they represent the kind of expertise that makes ETSU the flagship university of Appalachia. They are deeply rooted in our region while offering world-class knowledge and insight.
