Flatland Cavalry has sold out Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Fort Worth’s Dickies Arena. They’ve landed placements on “Yellowstone” and earned their first ACM Award nomination. They’ve amassed more than 500 million streams and six #1 singles on Texas Country Radio.

And they’re coming to Johnson City.

East Tennessee State University’s Student Government Association will bring the Nashville- and Texas-based country group to Freedom Hall Civic Center on Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m., with country star Gretchen Wilson opening the show.

‘Easy on the ears, heavy on the heart’

For the past decade, Flatland Cavalry has built a reputation as “one of the most dynamic presences in country music,” according to Rolling Stone. In 2024, the band celebrated 10 years together with “Flatland Forever,” an album that revisits fan favorites while showcasing their evolution as songwriters and performers.

The past year brought major milestones. The group earned their first RIAA Gold certification for the breakout single “A Life Where We Work Out” and contributed music to the “Twisters” and “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” soundtracks. Their relentless touring schedule included sold-out performances at iconic venues across the country.

Since emerging in 2014, Flatland Cavalry has shared stages with Willie Nelson, Luke Combs, Lainey Wilson, Jordan Davis and Midland, proving their brand of storytelling resonates far beyond their Texas roots.

Gretchen Wilson brings the hits

Gretchen Wilson is back – and louder, prouder and rowdier than ever. The Grammy-winning, chart-topping country star who gave us the anthem “Redneck Woman” hit the road early this year on her powerhouse “Still Here for the Party” Tour, reminding the world she’s still got the grit, soul and fire fans fell in love with.

With millions of records sold and a trophy case full of awards from the CMA, ACM, CMT, AMA, Billboard Music Awards and a GRAMMY, Gretchen Wilson made headlines again in 2025 – winning Season 13 of The Masked Singer. She was front-and-center as the tour manager on the new highly-rated CBS series “THE ROAD,” which was executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban. She is currently in the studio re-recording her breakout “Here For The Party” album with a special guest on each song.
