When college feels overwhelming – juggling classes, finances and planning for the future – you don’t have to figure it out alone.

ETSU has launched the Mary V. Jordan Center, a comprehensive support hub designed to guide you from your application all the way to career placement.

A place to turn when you need help

The Jordan Center represents more than just another student service.

“No matter your background or where you are starting from, the Jordan Center is your partner in success,” said student Skylar Mittelsteadt. “Jordan Center staff listen carefully and connect you with the help you need.”

Filling the gaps that matter most

The Jordan Center doesn’t replace academic advisors or tutoring services.

Instead, it fills the crucial gaps that can leave you feeling lost or unsupported. The center’s staff know ETSU inside and out. They offer mentoring programs, help balance college and work life, and help guide you if you feel overwhelmed or stressed.

“They help you build a plan, stay motivated and connect with people who care,” said ETSU student Thomas Bales.

A proactive partnership

The Jordan Center is your partner from day No. 1.

Dr. Joe Sherlin, senior vice president for Student Life and Enrollment, put it this way: “The Mary V. Jordan Center represents a critical investment in student success at ETSU, serving as the front door for student support services. With dedicated student success specialists, personalized mentorship and concierge-level programming, the center offers a solid foundation to help our students thrive and realize their full potential at ETSU.”

Open door for all students

While some of the center’s programming focuses on first-generation students, all are welcome.

“ETSU created the Jordan Center to help every student stay on track to earning their degree,” said Dr. Keith Johnson, vice president for Student Success.
