East Tennessee State University will open its 2026-27 concert season with the annual Choral Collage Concert on Friday, Oct. 2.

The performance is set for 7:30 p.m. in the ETSU Foundation Grand Hall of the ETSU Martin Center for the Arts. Tickets may be purchased online through the ETSU Martin Center for the Arts or at the door on the night of the performance.

The concert will feature the ETSU Chorale, BucsWorth, Greyscale and East Tennessee Belles, with each ensemble showcasing its distinctive sound through a variety of musical styles.

An annual tradition for ETSU’s choral program, Choral Collage gives audiences an introduction to the ensembles and artistry they can expect throughout the year. The Choral Collage will highlight the musical diversity of ETSU’s choirs:  

• ETSU Chorale: This highly selective group has performed nationally and internationally, showcasing a commitment to choral excellence.

• BucsWorth: This tenor bass choir has been a staple of ETSU’s music scene for more than 30 years, performing a variety of musical styles.

• East Tennessee Belles: The Belles are recognized as one of the region’s top soprano-alto choirs, performing at prestigious events across the state.

• Greyscale: Formed in 2013, Greyscale performs a mix of contemporary choral works, pop arrangements and vocal jazz, with their name a nod to the non-specific type of music they perform.

“Choral Collage is one of our favorite concerts of the year. It allows audiences to experience the range of talent and musical styles represented across our choral ensembles,” said Dr. Alan Stevens, chair of the Department of Music. “Each choir brings something distinctive to the stage, and the concert celebrates the sense of community and collaboration our students create through music. It’s an exciting start to each season as we welcome new students to the ETSU choir family.”
